Five offices at the Laboratory of Steam Boilers and Thermal Plants at our School now cover their entire heating/cooling demands from the ZEOSOL system, as a result of ZEOSOL project which was just successfully completed (May 2020).
"The ZEOSOL project", was coordinated by NTUA, School of Mech. Eng., with Prof. Sotirios Karellas as project coordinator and PhD Cand. Tryfonas Roumpedakis as project engineer. The project aimed at the development of a new advanced solar cooling and heating product, using advanced heat exchanger technology and integrating a heat pump for covering peak demand. Within this context, a demo solar adsorption cooling/heating setup was installed and experimentally tested at one building of our School premisses.
